Emory Douglas is a revolutionary American graphic artist from Grand Rapids. A member and Minister of Culture for the Black Panther Party, Douglas created works to represent Black-American oppression. Process Magazine highlights his work and activism throughout his life.

Douglas uses many bold, thick lines around his illustrations, as well as often using a sunbeam background and delicate, subtle patterns. I pulled many of these signature elements and placed them throughout the article to match his original works highlighted on each page.
Most of his work also consists of limited color usage, but he keeps his palette consistent across all his content. I wanted this article to mimic how he chooses to utilize color.
