Sweet Society

This vegan candy company is dedicated to creating yummy sweets and treats while catering to a wider audience that a lot of traditional candy can’t always reach. Whether it’s because of allergies or dietary restrictions, Sweet Society wants everyone to be able to enjoy their favorite treats. The branding appears sophisticated but still playful and approachable, with packaging and marketing materials designed to attract everyone, not just individuals living a vegan lifestyle.

Moodboard + Brainstorming

While brainstorming for how I wanted Sweet Society to look, I explored a lot of 70s inspired, groovy design. I combined a touch of 70s design and color with modernity and playfulness to create the main logo.

Logo

I explored many different type solutions that mimicked bold 70s scripts, but to keep a modern twist, I went with a monoline script and sans serif lock up. The first ‘s’ is redrawn to have an exaggerated spiral on the bottom half and embellishments to resemble a piece of candy.

Print + Packaging

Sweet Society included a lot of similar repeated packaging, so everything needed to be consistent and pleasing to the eye. The brochure shows the essentials of the company: who we are, our story, a few candy options, etc. and includes fun photography elements. All of the packaging is a consistent design with a diamond pattern along the top of the resealable bag, candy illustrations surrounding a window that shows the candy in the bag, and color blocking along the bottom.

Digital Presence

Sweet Society has a website featuring pages about the company and online candy ordering. I kept the same color block elements I have on the packaging a brochure on the site pages to help break it up. Sweet Society also has an email blast showing some recent promotions and merchandise.
