Halo’d Paws

When a person you love dies, it is natural to feel sadness and express grief. It is also expected that friends and family provide understanding and comfort. Unfortunately, the same understanding is not always given when a pet dies. People love their pets and consider them members of the family, so when a beloved pet dies, it is completely normal to feel overwhelmed by the intensity of your sorrow and other feelings. Losing a pet is a devastating and stressful experience, and it is important that those feelings are handled and expressed in a proper way. Halo’d Paws is a grief and healing service package dedicated to helping owners prepare for and navigate through pet loss and the challenges that come along with it.

Final Halo’d Paws Logo

Main Logo

The Halo’d Paws logo underwent many font variations to get the across the tone of this service in just the right way. Because it covers a more serious topic, but I wanted to give it a comforting touch, I combined an elegant serif font with a sans serif for the tagline, and an illustrated halo. Previous versions explored many serifs to find the most fitting one.

What’s in the Service?

Halo’d Paws works independently and through veterinary offices to help ease the process of losing your beloved pet. Our service’s box includes a Grief and Healing Journal, a paw print clay activity, and a jewelry piece. The primary mission of Halo’d Paws is to help our clients safely navigate their grief while honoring their pet in a way that will never be forgotten.

Grief and Healing Journal

The Grief and Healing Journal is great for learning how to navigate the grief process. It includes educational information, poems, infographics and fillable pages with prompts and activities. The journal is designed to be able to see the progress within the prompts and writing activities from the beginning of your grief journey to the road of recovery. Grief is not a linear process, so documenting each step of the way is helpful to get thoughts and feelings out of your head so you can properly and safely move through grief.

Paw Print Activity & Ash Necklace

Along with the Journal, Halo’d Paws also includes a paw print activity meant to be completed as a keepsake before the passing of a pet, as well as a necklace that can be used to hold their ashes.

Web Presence

Because I wanted this service to be as straightforward as possible, I wanted to keep the website simple and easy to navigate. It features information regarding grief as well as what the service is about and how to access it through a veterinarians office or online.
